First formed in October 1991 by founding member and lead vocalist John Backer, Australian Played has earned the reputation as being one of Sydney's hardest working tribute/cover bands.

AUSTRALIAN PLAYED prides itself on performing songs from our Home Grown Artists and Bands, the way we and other lovers of Aussie Music remember them.Put simply, if a song can't be reproduced as near as possible to the original artists recorded version by us "Live", we just won't play it.

From the moment the band opens into Dragons' Rain at the start of the show to last chords of The Radiators' Comin' Home, AUSTRALIAN PLAYED will have you and your patrons singing, dancing or maybe just tapping a foot to 3 decades of hits and memories from Australia's colourful, Music History.
