Formed in 2007, El Ritmo Diablo are Sydney based Jazz musicians who have all been working the Sydney music scene for many years. Drawing from a vast palette of sounds and influences El Ritmo Diablo are able to play many genres such as Latin, funk, soul, blues, African music and jazz. Hailing from different parts of the globe the musicians in El Ritmo Diablo are quite diverse in background and musical taste.

Jee Son Ann: Born in Korea and a graduate from the Australian Institute of Music (B mus and Honours), Jee Son is an in demand piano and keys player who currently freelances in the Sydney music scene.
Nick Powning: Hailing from the northern beaches Nick Powning is a versatile bass player who currently performs with Mark Da Costa ( Aus Idol) and many other notables and has spent many years playing in cover bands, jazz bands and original bands. He is also a graduate from the Australian Institute of music and currently teaches and performs around Sydney.
Andres Hyde: Chilean drummer Andres Hyde has performed in many working situations in the Sydney scene from rock bands to funk and disco bands and was the drummer for the Footy Show covers band (The Vipers) for many years.
Moe Parker: Born in Fiji, Moe Parker is a guitarist who graduated from the Australian Institute of music obtaining a bachelor in music. He currently teaches and performs regularly in various ensembles. He has shared the stage with Natalie Colavito (Aus idol), Tarisai Vushe (Aus idol) and many others, apart from teaching and performing he also composes for various projects.
Scott Kelly: A new edition to El Ritmo Diablo, Scott Kelly is a sax player who is currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of music. He is a versatile player and also and in demand.
Performing primarily as a quartet, El Ritmo Diablo are versatile in size and a able to perform as a duo, trio, quartet, quintet and also are able to accommodate high emery dance settings with a singer out-front performing top 40 covers.
