Hits & Pieces are:

Meredith DiMartini
The beautiful soulful voice of American expat Meredith DiMartini can only be likened to singers such as Alanis Morisette and Florence Welch (Florence + the Machine). Meredith has performed in originals and cover bands in the US the UK and now in Australia. She is a student and teacher of psychology and in her spare time enjoys heavy workouts and discovering Australian red wines. Meredith’s influences are as diverse as her vocal range, and include artists such as Sarah Mclachlan, Sublime, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Melissa Etheridge and more recently; Natasha Beddingfield, Emile Sande, Adele, Justin Timberlake, C-Lo and more...

Chris “Fryzie” Fry
Residing in the South Coast Fryzie is a solid lead and rhythm guitar player. He works to fill the room with familiar sounds on a single electric guitar. Fryzie loves turning the volume on his rig up high, and being the music lover he is, you will often see him swaying to the movement of the songs he plays. Although he does have a day job, he spends most of his free time riding boards of some sort (surf, skate, and snow). He makes his own beer (which is AMAZING) and loves cooking up a storm for his family. Chris’s influences range from early blues heroes through to the sound of the seventies with Hendrix, Dylan, Page and Gilmour. His more recent influences include Muse, Mumford and Sons, Greenday, RHCP and the Birds of Tokyo.

Danny Miccelli
Hailing from North of the Coat Hanger, Danny has played and filled in for most of Sydney’s well known cover bands. Danny has been seen filling in for Hits and Pieces in the past and as such was the obvious choice to fill the role. He has a knack for portraying the feeling of a song through his base playing, and as such is a pleasure to watch. He occasionally plays with PartyVibe and Aus Rock Unlimited. He is as solid with his rhythm as he is with his pasta eating (It’s an Italian thing!). Danny loves sipping down on a quiet bourbon by the fire, naked on a bear skin rug. Danny’s favourite style of music is rock and he loves the power of the old pub classics – yet finds it fun and exhilarating to incorporate new favourites into the H&P set list.

Nick Zammit
A performance Student at the Australian Institute of Music, Nick currently also performs and records with a local pop artist; a 2013 “The Voice” auditionee. Nick is quickly making a name for himself in the industry with lots of session and fill in work under his belt due to his professionalism and sharp skills. Nick is a student of music and he carefully studies the nuances of sound such that he regularly chips in on musical direction and advice on chords, notes, and arrangements. Normally seen skolling beers at University bars, Nick is never sublte in his approach to drumming or drinking. His favourite food is food! Like Meredith, Nick’s idea of a good time is getting to eat whatever and as much of it as he wants – with no exceptions!
