My name is Ken Cooke, and I am a local acoustic solo guitarist. I have been a professional musician in and around Adelaide for the last 15 years.
During this time, I have performed at such venues as The Adelaide Convention Centre, Skycity, Festival Theatre, The Hyatt Regency, The Hilton International Hotel, The Stamford Plaza, The Governor Hindmarsh Hotel, Glen Ewin Estate, P.J. O’Brien’s (Adelaide & Melbourne), and many others. I also had a monthly residency during 2004-5 at “Elsie Out Of Africa” restaurant, Glenelg. My playing has so far taken me to Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Tamworth (N.S.W.) Music Festival.
I perform a wide variety of styles, drawing from the classic songwriters such as Elton John, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Norah Jones, The Eagles, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, U2, Eric Clapton, Tommy Emmanuel and many more. The tunes range from traditional favourites ("Canon" and "Cavatina") to modern pop.
My guitar playing has proved over the years to be the perfect acoustic backdrop for many weddings, corporate events and functions.
