Sweet Chilli Blue was formed in 2005. Playing at private parties, functions and festivals. In 2008 we organised a very successful function were all proceeds were donated to the Queensland Institute of Medical Research. The Band consists of four members. Russell Essex: Rhythm & Lead Guitar, Vocals, 35 years experience as a session musician, backing & bands. Jim Mackay (Jimbo): Drums 30 years playing in a vast array of bands. Janelle Adelskov: Vocals, Bass, 10 years performing as a soloist, duos & bands. Gayle Devlin: Lead vocals, 10 years performing as a soloist, duos & bands.

I have performed alongside the guy's and girls, from Sweet Chilli Blue, on the same bill at some small festivals, they're very professional, super focused on what they do, and sound great!. I would certainly recommend them. M J

I have been to a couple of their gigs and really enjoyed the music so much so that I booked them to play at my birthday party. they were excellent and made the night totally. they really got eveyone onto the party mood and up and dancing.
I'm looking forward to seeing them again soon.

I have heard Sweet Chilli Blue play at several functions, and they are just fabulous. Their music is relevant and they have something for everybody. I would recommend them to anybody wanting a good band and a good time...best of luck Sweet Chilli Blue! May all your dreams come true!

I have watched this band grow over the pass few years and wow how they have grown!!! I would recomend them for any party, functions or event to entertain all ages. Sweet Chilli Blue played at our 50th birthday and rocked the night away. Everyone commented on their fantastic selection of music and amazing talent. So well received, they were recommended on to other funtions by some of the guests. I would recommend them to anyone interested in music from today, and yesterday and they are more than happy to accomodate favourites if pre-requested. Great band for a good night of dancing!
