The Rolling Stones Experience

The Rolling Stones Experience (tribute band)was formed in 2007 with the purpose of giving an audience the 'experience'(the next best thing) to being at an actual Rolling Stones concert. A large part of this is our portrayal of Mick, Keith and Ronnie

The lead singer moves and sounds so much like Mick Jagger, he's fantastic. He does such a beautiful version of Angie, I can close my eyes and pretend I'm at a real Stones concert. The rest of the band is fantastic also, the guy who plays Keith is a great lead guitarist, drummer is very strong and holds the band together. Love them all!

The band has performed at many major clubs in south east Queensland including Seagulls, Southport Sharks, Kedron Wavell Services Club, Gladstone Harbour Festival, Queensland Lions Football Club and Lismore Workers Club to name a few. We have also played at Corporate Events and Private Functions. On several occasions I have been complemented by die hard Rolling Stones fans about my 'incredible' portrayal of the iconic Mick Jagger

In 2008 a few friends and myself decided to go along to the ‘Southport Sharks’ and watch Rolling Stones tribute band. We didn’t know what to expect, as in our minds there was only one person who could ever sing and move like Mick Jagger and that was Mick Jagger himself. I Guess you could say we had our doubts…well, weren’t we in for a big surprise! The bands stage performance was outstanding and the lead singer (real name John van Zyl) just blew our minds as he looked and sounded exactly like Mick Jagger, right down to his mannerisms and stage performance. The show was so good a few months later a whole group of us from my work went to see them again at Seagulls. I would definitely recommend that people go and watch them for an absolutely awesome experience.
